Occupy the Farm/Take Back the Tract
Occupy the Farm was founded on Earth Day 2012 (Sunday, April 22) when about 200 people took the Gill Tract and encamped for about three weeks. The Gill Tract is the last arable acreage in the East Bay and is located in Albany but "owned" by the University of California at Berkeley, a land grant university. Nonviolent direct actions are well-attended community work days and community harvests.
General Assembly:
Organizing meetings occur alongside weekly Sunday work-parties on the Farm. Fall farming cracks-off tomorrow at 11AM
